Taken at Flinder's Beach on beautiful North Stradbroke Island.
For those of you who don't know, North Stradbroke Island is just off the coast of Brisbane, Queensland's capital city. You cannot get there by car, you have to take a 50minute trip by the vehicular barge or a 20 minute trip by ferry. Once you get there you feel like you are in heaven.
On this particular beach there is a small waterway running parallel to the beach. The reason it is this colour is because tannin is exuded from the leaves, dropped from surrounding Paperbark Melaleuca and Ti-trees Leptospermum, staining the water to a rich brown colour not dissimilar to that of tea.
